Meet Your Architectural Committee!
The purpose of the Architectural Committee for Morrison Ranch Estates Home Owner's Association (MREHOA) is to review plans and specifications of proposed changes or additions to any exterior surface or structure, including painting and hardscaping and landscaping. This review is performed to ensure that a sound and attractive plan of development is maintained so that the character and environment of the community is preserved and all homeowners are protected against loss of values to their homes. Approvals by the ARC do not substitute for the homeowner's need to also secure required approvals or permits from the City of Agoura Hills; However, Architectural Committee approval is required by the City prior to issuing these permits.
The state of California is taking fire safety very seriously and there has been a bill passed that may affect the way you landscape your property.
Existing law requires the Director of Forestry and Fire Protection to identify areas in the state as very high fire hazard severity zones based on specified criteria and the severity of the fire hazard.
You can read the bill HERE and determine if you are in fact considered in a high hazard severity zone HERE.
